I bought one of these. Folds compact, two levels of brightness, lights up 2-3 sheets, has a low battery indicator, USB charging cable, nice big clip that can hold sheet music, good for 3 hours.
I bought a Mighty Brite Duet 2 Deluxe. It has on off buttons that you push to turn on/off. This causes it to turn on when it's packed draining the battery. A sliding switch would be
better.
I know it's not really what you are asking, but the traditional clamp-on AC powered stand light, especially if you put a compact fluorescent tubular shaped bulb in, is in my opinion still the best.
There's probably a reason why most professional big bands use these unless they have some kind of custom fronts with lighting integrated.

That looks good, but is one of those super-expensive lights really six times (or 8.5 times!) as good as the $20 light mentioned in post #2 above?
