Don't have the link right now, but there's a rascher quartet recording of the phillip glass concerto for sax quartet and orchestra that's great. Absolutely beautiful.
Those of you on Facebook, join my group Angel's Concert Saxophone Information Central, and there you will find several of my favorite concert saxo videos. I'll be adding more soon.
Hey everyone someone has posted some of the videos from the Rascher Centennial concerts a couple days ago! So far, the only videos posted are the three movements of Wildy Zumwalt's von Borck Concerto (played amazingly, wish I went there now more then ever), but hopefully all of them will make it in the end.
Oh wait my bad, I had that video confused with another one in which everyone thinks it's Sugawa but it really isn't. The long hair caught me off guard at first glance
More video's from the SMR 100 performance! This one is Harry White's concerto! I had been hoping to hear this ever since everyone came back and raved about it. From the same guy that posted the Wildy Zumwalt videos.
There are some new videos of the Amethyst Quartet (Northwestern). They just got done winning MTNA, Coleman, and Fischoff. They are one of the best quartets I've heard, student or professional.
