I'm pretty spoiled in that I have a few tenors.
Selmer MKVII, S20 series III, Selmer Super, Keilwerth Toneking series III.
Also a few pieces, mostly Link or Link type pieces.
The best for me is still my Florida STM USA 10.
But Sakshamas pieces are up there with it.
Reeds vary but Hemke and Alexander Superial 2.5-3 are working well.
Any Lig that holds a reed firmly is doing the trick.
Selmer 404, Marc Jean, optimum, etc etc etc.

I own a couple of Ripamonti tenors, an Italian brand. One is a "V-jazz" type, black with silver plated keys. Modern and cutting sound. The other is, in my opinion, a monster: a "V-Jazz Custom VI", created to be something like a "new Mark VI"; it has a very fat sound, great projection and fullness; it has been customized by its previous owner (unlacquered; the bell has been soldered to the body).

I have several setups but my usual is given by my Lawton "Icon" 8star B, bronze; as reeds I use several brands depending on the shades I have to obtain (Rigotti 2, Vandoren Java 3, Alexander DC 2,5, Legére Signature 2-2,25)). My second choice is my Ted Klum London Model 8 made in bronze, recently and happily purchased, with a similar selection of reeds, but with it I use a little brighter kind of reed (I avoid Java here, I do not like them on London model); Ted Klum has given me a gold plated ligature whose brand I do not know, but I also use a FL Pure Brass silver plated XL ligature for alto... Third choice is a Ted Klum Focustone with Rigotti or Vandoren Classical 2,5 and a FL Ultimate silver plated ligature for alto, too. ^_^

    Slight changes:
Horn: Still my Yamaha 82Z that is the best horn I've had in 35 years of playing/gigging. Of course I use an older Barone neck that I picked up a few years ago
Reeds: Still on older Bari and Bari* M reeds that I sand. I'm starting to panic because the new ones are very stuffy so I'm on the new reed search
MPC: This is where the change is. I've been gigging on a Matt Wickham MoFo I .110 but recently picked up his latest Mofo II model. It's a change to the darker side with the ability to take in more air. Not a huge change but it is a nice adjustment to an already great mpc design. Of course I still have my 10mfan Robusto 3D 8* that I use on and off for softer gigs.

This month I am playing a Phil-Tone "Intrepid" 7* on my silver plate Borgani Jubilee.

It made it through big band rehearsal last night with flying colors. I especially like the range of colors, great intonation, and crisp articulation. The director told me afterwards that it "Sounds great!" when I asked whether the sound was carrying sufficiently for solos over the band. The proof will be in the gigging, but I am loving this 'piece now.

thanks for the info regarding the ligature for the Ted Klum Focustone. I was just trying to figure out which ligature would work with it.. i tried the S 404 but is seems to big.. I have FL for my BBS rafael Navaro metal and I love it but is too big for the TK.. I heard that Marc Jean Ligature are also very good with the metal mouthpieces, especially Ted Klum's one.. ciao.

FWIW, Ted Klum uses Marc Jean ligatures.
