Hi everyone, I just wanted to share a new article, out today, that I wrote for the Best Sax Site Ever, this time continuing to discuss using Bach's melodic material as a technical and musical workout for the horn. I used the Toccata and Fugue in D Minor for all of my source material here, I guess I should have had it come out around Halloween. Anyway, here is the link!

Enjoy and comments welcome!

Jon - I printed the .pdf yesterday and worked on it a bit on baritone. Love Toccata and Fugue in Dm....and the exercises are an interesting challenge, particularly the one with extreme intervals. Thanks, as always.

Are these part of a new book?

Hi guys, thanks for your interest as always. Yes this will be laid out more completely in a chapter in the second Bach Shapes. I'm not officially launching into writing it until I'm confidently selling the first book, but have a lot of ideas, many different things than the first book, and some more of similar exercises. You can read more about it and see a video of the latest etude here: http://www.jondelucia.com/new-guest-article-best-saxophone-website-ever/
Thanks!
Jon
