Dating these is even hard for the guys that have seen a lot of them. I just sent one to a mouthpiece re facer that couldn’t tell what it was with a bunch of photos. Steep beak drop off, a 1 in the chamber, clamshell baffle. Some sellers call the Early Babbitt 2nd generation or some label like that.
We need a flow chart for Tone Edges like there is for STMs.
Thanks for the responses, so looks like it's nothing too special. Was with a cheap chinese sax that a guy had owned for 20 years or so, so perhaps late 1990's or early 2000's is when it's from.
