I've done a thorough search on the forum and internet to find the answer to this inquiry...
Is there a difference in the chamber dimensions (ergo, tonal qualities) between castings numberered 1 and 2?
I find these harder to find as well. Some of these can play mind you and I know some folks will turn their noses up at them, but they are just different than the older ones. It's weird because with saxophone design, it seems like manufacturers kept trying to make the saxophone louder and brighter after the '70s but Link made their pieces darker and darker .... Who's to say why?
We need Tone Edge flow chart like the one for STMs. It seems sellers have made everything an “Early Babbitt”.
