I need some ideas on what to get for my Martin tenor. Unfortunately, I lack funds. Well funds to get a mouthpiece that I want.

So I need some suggestions for a mouthpiece that sounds decent, and under $100.

Thank you in advance.

What is the mouthpiece that you want? Give us a lil' more info to work with, and perhaps someone could recommend a substitute.

If you can wait a few weeks until I get back to the US I'll have Kanee mouthpieces available.

If you like a vintage sound, the Kanee Florida is a nice Link Tone Edge inspired piece. If you want something more aggressive, then try the Kanee Studio, it is similar to a Wanne Kali. They are both under $100.

I'll also have some nice metal pieces, but they are in the $200 range.

NOTE- Mouthpiece choice should not be influenced by horn shape, brand or colour, unless there are intonation problems (possibly due to a really modern mouthpiece on a really old horn).

For under $100
ebay slant 7 saxscape (or xtra dark) prototype
brilhart ebolin
ebay woodwind company (the old ones with the rounded shank, if you can deal with a small tip opening)

These work well with my stencil 1930's Martin handcraft Imperial/Comm I.

It likes the meyers, too, but getting one for under $100 might be tricky.
