Default "Never sell this horn" said my tutor, 4 years ago...

    Before.............................................................................................. and after...

UK sale of 1989 Grassi Professional Tenor. Completely overhauled (new everything). No dents or dings. Unlacquered. Comes with new oversize Pro-Tec tenor case with crook pouch, lidded storage, zipped side storage, shoulder strap (in side pocket), neck stopper, overhaul invoice. No mouthpiece.

Just not using her. I play alto. I bought this as a basket case 4 years ago, had her completely stripped, polished, and then overhauled by the great Charlie Connolly of Connolly-MIR before he retired. My tutor Dave Plummer played her firstly back in 2013 as well as a YTS-62 Purple Logo I had and the Grassi won out. "Never sell this horn." he said, and meant it.

I bought her in the UK from the parents of a British ex-pat who ran a bar in Spain and had been left the horn as payment by the sax player for his bar tab.
She was in a sorry state. Here are some before and after photos: http://www.picturetrail.com/sfx/albu...eshow/24402452

For the full story of how I fretted and overcame many issues to save her, please see my 2013 CafeSaxophone thread here: https://cafesaxophone.com/threads/sh...oration.10333/
NB. You may need to register to view - it's free!

Being unlacquered the tenor has aged over four years with some appropriate vintage patina forming.
    These photos taken today: https://flic.kr/s/aHsm2h35iG
You can let her carry on going vintage or polish her back to polished if you wish (a continuous process - I wouldn't bother!).

UK sale only. In view of unparalleled restoration, quality of the overhaul, and fantastic sound this is a steal at £1,200 collected. 5 mins from J20 M1 or J1 M6. Lutterworth, Leicestershire.

Come and play her at your own risk. You won't be leaving without her (unless you don't have the cash!)

Reminds me of that old song:

"Bury me not on the lone prairie..."

"So we buried him on the long prairie..."

Sorry, meant to be "So we buried him on the lone prairie..."

For some reason the "edit" function has disappeared...

That's because no edits are allowed in the sales section. It through me for a loop way back when I first discovered it, but I think it makes some sort of sense...

And see, I couldn't edit my misspelling above. I meant to write it threw me for a loop.
