For sale is this beautiful 1955 (s/n: 12xxx) SML Rev. D tenor. Original lacquer roughly 95% present, neck is in great shape (no pull down), rolled tone holes, adjusting screws, no dents or dings, and all of the features that make these tenors so desirable.
The horn has recently been to my technician, and it's now playing well and ready for action. The pads aren't new, but they are soft, sealing well, and have good life left. This horn plays with a BIG lush sound that has lots of core: the "French Conn" description is very accurate. Keywork is comfortable under the fingers, and this horn responds almost effortlessly (free-blowing). Quite fun to play. Pictures tell the rest of the story.
Please PM me with any questions. Happy to speak over the phone or Facetime with those interested. Anyone in the NE Ohio area is welcome to try the horn out in person. Comes in a Protec case.
Asking $2500 OBO + actual shipping from Cleveland, OH. International shipping available. Thank you!
