Another feedback I just received tonight from a fellow SOTW member that started like this:

"Dude, this thing is badass. With a Legere Signature 2-1/4 it gives my SDA a Stan Turrrentine vibe, and it absolutely roars.
Subtones great too, it’s a very flexible piece".

I am so happy to get such great feedback and I will leave room for this person to come on if they would like and add to the post.

Contratulations to Mark Sepinuck for making a great mouthpiece to go along with his intitial 3 models. The 7*Black Widow tenor mouthpiece covers a wide spectrum of sound for me, with the ease of playability, great bottom end, effortless altissimo, worry free driving so to speak, it simply allows me to focus on playing music. When I received it , I put on a Rigotti #3 gold reed, with a Rico H ligature and off I went. I have not come down off cloud 9 . Since I received the mouthpiece last week, I am newly inspired and find it difficult to stop playing. Looking forward to a busy summer with it, and I have not been as happy with a new mouthpiece such as this, in over 40 yrs. of making music. Thankyou Mark! Ed

    Thank you, Ed!
Man, this piece has taken off like wildfire. I am beyond happy that so many are digging the piece so much and if you make a recording, feel free to send it. I appreciate you sharing your feelings on the piece and letting people know what you are using for a reed and ligature. Have fun!

    All the best, Mark

I just played a mini concert on my Black Widow with some tracks. Wow!!! It was a small venue and I couldn't mic my sax but the BW just sounded SO good. Thanks Marj...it's a winner.

Marj??? Did Mark change his name or something Or is he really Marjoe, the famous Pentacostal Tent Revivalist child preacher who became an actor later on?

Steve, I can see the video fine because I belong to Facebook. It sounds wonderful!
The whole band looks like they're having a great time and you sound fantastic.
I think the best part of this mouthpiece is the amount of joy everybody's having with it. I continue to receive emails all the time from guys like you that tell me they are having so much fun again playing. It means the world to me!!!!

Keep having fun finding joy in your music and when you make another video, be sure to put it up.
    All the best, Mark

Hopefully you can send an audio clip at sometime Steve, from one of your gigs. It would be nice to put that up. Or if someone put something up on YouTube, it would be easy to take it from there. It's great to hear you on the mouthpiece! I'm so glad you're loving it.

JL, how are you enjoying your Black Widow mouthpiece?

I love it! So glad to hear that.
This piece has really taken off like wildfire, and I'm just so glad so many guys are enjoying it and getting such different things from it. I knew this would be a big hit but I honestly didn't think it was gonna be this big right away.
    Really happy about this!

Enjoy yours and if you record something on one of your blues gigs, please let me know.

Wishing all of you fathers a Happy Father's Day tomorrow!
    All the best, Mark

I'll throw in my two cents. As a disclaimer, I am not a pro (although I have taken money for playing on occasion, I don't make my living playing). I do know what I like and the sound in my head I'm trying to express. I own both the Merlot and the Robusto. The 7* Black Widow is the best of both of these....and more. It can play fat, dark and lush but still have the ability to get bright without thinning out. It is the true one arrow in the quiver. Plus, (here's the "more" part)....you can crank this to 11 (maybe even 12, LOL). Very reed friendly. I've tried Rigotti, Select Jazz, Woodstone, Legere, G-Reeds. I'm really digging it with Java Red #3. I'm currently using a no name nickel plated one screw ligature, but I'm waiting on one the new Marc Jean ligs. Hope this helps if you're on the fence.
