According to a previous owner who emailed Borgani about the horn, the models from this time had a lot of different design and key work elements that were used for the Jubilee models. Borgani couldn't say exactly when it was made, but they confirmed it was one of many horns in a variety of finishes they were trying out with various keywork differences. The good ones were set up for sale.
The keys have matching serial numbers (Borgani put part of the serial number on each key to keep the pieces together during manufacture). The Borgani logo stamped on the horn and case is the modern âBâ logo.
The horn was checked out by a tech in March 2016 and had the following work done: F# pad replaced, leaks fixed, corks and felt replaced as needed, table keys straightened, high E key freed, loose screws tightened, oiled and adjusted.
Since then it has been lightly played, so it should need very little work, if any.
The previous owner repadded the horn in 2014 with Precision tan pads and Maestro solid brass star classic resonators from middle G to low D and Maestro solid brass airtight resonators on the low end from low C to B flat.
The horn has no dents.
