I bought a Super 20 silversonic Tenor vintage mid to late 50s saxophone, has the gold leaf engraving. I bought it with the intention of overhauling it then selling it. Then I came across the Georgie Auld engraving on the horn. I looked up some video of him playing and this appears to be the exact sax as it still has the medallion hanging on a chain around the neckthat can be seen in videos. Anyhow, should I leave this in original condition since there is a very strong possibility this was his sax?
