    Default Blackwoodjoe Tribute Mouthpiece

I just bought a Martin Handcraft and inside the case was a bonus mouthpiece. Over the years I've had great luck with finding an Otto Link Slant Signature "Hawkins Special", a Dukoff duckbill Super Power Chamber, a blue Jumbo Java and a couple of other goodies all unannounced in the case of an old saxophone that I bought off of the internet. This time, I believe I that have an authentic blackwoodjoe mouthpiece. I think that just by examining the piece it is possible to authenticate it. Check it out.
Large100_0089.jpg Tip and rails look genuine.
Large100_0090.jpgQuality of the repaired damage is very distinctive.
Large100_0093.jpgThe improved tooth guard is dependable clue and the file marks a dead giveaway.
Large100_0094.jpgAnd finally, the telltale "booger baffle." It's official.

Every famous mouthpiece is now the basis for one or more "tribute" pieces allegedly copying the original. But nobody has copied these. Enter FlemTone Products with new tribute mouthpiece that is an exact replica of the original. Here is a picture of the FlemTone Blackwoodjim now under production (and showing our proprietary finishing equipment). Made from the most resonant plastic, expensive epoxy, and other stuff to make you sound like your favorite player (saxophone, that is). Presently only available for alto. $240 includes shipping.

I especially like how the beak retains that backwoods wood grain texture.

You must share your technique. I think a youtube how to video is in order!

The pictures of the air engine model showcases a mouthpiece on a dirty snot rag. I featured the mouthpiece on used toilet tissue to try to get the same ambiance. The rag and the toilet tissue show evidence that both mouthpieces have been generously treated with FlemTone LesterSpit.

With a name like LesterSpit, it's got to be good.

It looks great, though I've heard the earlier slant sig versions were way better. How does it play?

I've never put it in my mouth and don't intend to.

I have been wondering if other people noticed that guy and his fake refacing. Makes me ill what he has done to some very nice mouthpieces. Should be arrested. :0
