I have a modern C soprano made by Epplesheim & Reece and it is very free-blowing, much more so than any Bb soprano I have played. I see that this piece has quite a small tip opening, how resistive do you think it would be ?
The facing curve has a medium high level of resistance to help keep from blowing it closed when playing high notes. The tip/ facing helps with intonation control. But the player still needs to work at it to play most C sops in tune.
