    Soprano: Buescher silver plated curved 146XXX. Caravan mouthpiece, haven't picked out reeds+lig yet
    Alto: Buescher silver plated 140 Aristocrat (former military horn!), Mark Aronson overhaul+mods. Vintage Buescher mouthpiece refaced by Laurence Wyman, Vandoren 3.5 blue box reeds, Francois Louis bare brass Ultimate ligature. (I also have a True Tone and a New Aristocrat!)
    Tenor: Selmer Mark VI lacquer. Rascher mouthpiece. Vandoren 4 blue box reeds, Vandoren Masters ligature

    OK, I'm finally posting. I was always afraid to post because I thought I would change my set-up from one minute to the next but I have stuck with my current set-up now for a couple years.

    Someone who's sn is "Chulove" is using a selmer for classical? Why not use the Conn?

    I was using the Conn '44 6M VIII with the same setup and it was a very good sound. Then I bought the SBA recently ( I blame spending too much time reading SOTW ) because I always liked the Selmer sound. I prefer the complexity and control of tone of the SBA. I still love my Conns but use them for community band and some jazz stuff at home. Conns can't be beat for that. And my wife says she will only accompany me on piano if I play my Selmer. Also, I need to justify spending all that money on the SBA.

    I currently use v12 2.5's, but I'm planning on trying out Gonzalez reeds.
