This is about the wonderful, positive affects that can come from listening to jazz. (as I'm typing this I have on loop Dexter playing "Autumn In New York) Listening to jazz music has potential benefits for your health as varied as the genre itself. 1) Listening to up beat jazz can help with focus, raise heart rate, motivate, and boost productivity

2)Listening to jazz can alter your brain waves.

-Theta-inspires creativity,Theta brain waves (4-8 hertz): Listening to the distinctive syncopation of some jazz can bring about Theta brain waves, the most highly creative brain wave. They inspire new insights and solutions to unresolved problems ("Eureka!" moments).

-Alpha promotes relaxation, Alpha brain waves (8 to 14 hertz): Listening to music around 60 BPM's can cause the brain to synchronize with the beat, resulting in alpha brainwaves. They make you relaxed but conscious.
