I'm aware of most of the basses at the larger American dealers. Anyone know of ones at less heard of dealers or dealers in Europe?

Update please? I may be shopping again.

$10k is a lot to pay for something that's not a main instrument...

I guess you could make Bass Sax your main instrument, but I don't see it as an easy choice when it comes down to getting gigs...

Maybe someone here knows more about the demand for bass sax players...(and what those gigs pay)

Well, typically bass saxophones by many other brands are way cheaper.

Not so long ago there were a Keilwerth Toneking bass and a Noblet bass, both for sale in the NL and both sold for €5000, a Conn in bad shape went for the same amount a few years ago (before the crisis) I doubt that it would fetch as much.

$10,000 is an asking price, whether they will get it remains to be seen.
