Hello there, just thought I'd post the Sakkusu on here (Chinese Selmer copy) since when I was shopping for one I have not seen any posts on one and I've had mine for a few months nows and it has been great so far. (I have the unboxing video on my youtube account )
Sorry for the delayed response. The intonation is excellent and it plays very well. It's just a blast to play. =) (most fun you can have on a saxophone)
The middle D is a problematic note on these basses but that's apparently a common fault with most basses. I've got the gear4music version which is also made by JinBao. I'm very pleased with mine, but did replace all the key corks with felt to reduce the mechanical noise. Also fitted a metal thumbhook - any aftermarket metal thumbhooks designed for Yamaha saxes will fit perfectly so long as they're made from 3mm thick sheet brass, otherwise you'll have to make a shim in the shape of the teardrop to hold them secure.
I'd love to hear you take a spin on the new beast.
