Not at all nit picking. That is the quote totally......."Starts with a good embouchure"! Well spotted JL.

And as we know, having a great sound is sooooo many things. (of course that's a book in itself) We all want a great sound so being well educated re "your sax embouchure" can never be emphasized enough.

It's a complex activity, not simple. And I suppose that's why a good 6-12 hours of practicing "good technique" (as apposed to 6-12hours practice of incorrect habits/technique) each day is needed to get the elusive killer (Parker/Dexter/Coltrane/Rollins/Lester/ etc) sound!

It might sound like nitpicking, but there is quite a different meaning between those two statements.
