I have no information on this sax, i got it off of Ebay for $200, all of the pads where bad and the tarnish was so bad that the engraving was not visible. Taking apart and polishing this sax relieved the true beauty of this sax, and it has 100% of its silver finish, original neck(with no bend down). it now has all new pads and plays like a dream.
Can anybody tell me how old this sax is, is it anything special?

Thank you for the input. As the C-melody marked as described was manufactured for only one year (November 1921- October 1922) it is not very common and in terms of musical category - like you say - it actually is a dream.
The serial number chart is in advanced state of reconstruction. It will be completed probably before the year is out and will be published here on Sax on the Web.
Thank you for the pics. As seen in the photo from the bow, one branch of the low C key gard is ca. 25-30% longer than the other two, quite different from the Conn's. I've never seen such a logo on a mercedes.
Thanks André. Now I know my neck was made that way. From the cork end going just passed the octave guide it’s round. From there to maybe 40mm above the tenon it’s more like a oval shape.
