This one seems to get left out a lot in the mouthpiece sales:

    a. Item name make, model (especially specify alto, tenor, etc.)

Good work and well thought out. I only have one observation and that is regarding stating a specific price value for items to be traded.

Trading one used item for another really has a lot of variables to it and their actual "barter" values may not be the for-sale values you would put on items you are selling outright for cash. Bartering, by its very nature, implies some intangible give-and-take on the values of both items being traded, so I wonder if requiring a specific price on an item to be traded isn't being too specific a requirement in this case.

Duely noted gary. I'll make sure the rest of the team sees your suggestion. Sorry for the delayed response.

Agree with Gary, although my criticism of the requirement would have been harsher (WTF!!!).

+1 on Gary's trade comments. Otherwise everything else makes sense.

I was about to ask one of you guys about not being able to reply in marketplace, but now I see that it's intentional for everyone.

I don't really like it, but I don't run the site, so I'll respect your decisions.

    Does this work for you?

    1. Marketplace eligibility

Eligibility for both the for sale and want to buy sections are determined by:

    a. If you were a member prior to June 16, 2013, you should have Marketplace Privileges regardless of your post count.
    b. For those members joining aft June 16, 2013, Marketplace Privileges are attributed after six months AND 50 posts relevant to saxophone or some aspect of music making.

Having no desire to sell anything here this is not a big issue for me. But I've been a member since 2008 and I do not have permission to post new threads, nor post attachments to my replies to posts. Only recently permission to edit my replies was added, which is handy to correct typing errors and whatever (are you listening Donald?). I wonder if others who do desire to sell items may also be encountering this problem.

Also, the first link takes me to an error message page noting I should contact an administrator (like you folks aren’t busy enough).

*** Next day after posting the above I am now able to post. I just crossed the magic 50-post mark, or an administrator changed my permissions. Because the original non-working link is gone, I think the latter. Thanks, very much. ***
