Sorry to bother with this question. Your signature mentions you are familiar with tenor saxes made by Oves. I am looking at a sax from them, are they any good?
Many thanks for your answer.
I like the RJS 2H on most of my mouthpieces. It has a sort of middle of the road sound, and I can make it bright or dark. The sound is nice and clear too.
just saw your message today, sorry for the late reply. If you are still in Taiwan, you can visit a music store "Kai-Chieh". It's maybe the biggest saxophone-related products provider in Tainan. I've purchased from them on internet many times. Sorry I can't provide more information because I'm in the north side of Taiwan. Hope you enjoy your trip!
I don't have any clips, but I can tell you that I am very pleased with the piece. It solved a couple of problems I was having with my previous mouthpiece, specifically uneven response from high to low. It also has a nice little bit of edge when pushed, but not too much (for me). I hope you enjoy yours.
It took about three weeks for the mouthpiece to arrive.
just saw this... sorry. I have a 5* but I've never played it regularly, I do play a Link STM that started life as a 6* but was opened to .110 and a bit of baffle added. It's been my main piece for a while now. With a plasticover reed I can scream, it subtones well, and with a cane reed it has a mellower sound. which I guess is to be expected. lol
