Check out the Vito/K alto for sale here... Another odd duck??? This alto has the LH table as a Vito model 37 'but' has he teeter-totter octave mech. as on an early Vito/K that (usually?) has the switch G# lever on LH table... Hmm...

    Hi.
I don`t know if you keep on with registration of leblanc, but I have a alto with serialnumber 1176. All I know is that my father bougth it as a birthday present to me in 1972, and it was used, but I love this alto.... Maybe you can give me some more info about my alto. I live in Norway.
    Regards

I my Leblanc 120 tenor and there are some issues with leaks that I am taking to a repairman tomorrow. Invisible in the fotos, the bow was removed to repair a serious dent. The job was done so well you can only see it up close. The springs are very weak, as you said. If you put the horn flat on it's right side, the bell keys fall shut from their own weight. Does yours do that?

Do you have brass ring inserts pressed into most of the tone holes of the LH stack, and low C and C#? What are those rings for?

I could play this horn from A2 up, and the altissimo G3 pops out very easily. Amazing

Ok fan club, I have a alto super 20 ventage 67, silver neck, I play it each sunday for church but am looking for a 2nd, equal quality used horn. Any ideas since the Kings have some quirks in the octive key weak spring, and soft key springs. For a 2nd horn about equal quality what would all of you recommend. Still play a Meyer 5, with the Legeier plastic reeds, great no warp week to week. Nuff said, give me some ideas on a 2nd sax, FlaSax
  5. Tease the tech? Gabe is rebuilding a 1919 Conn Baritone for me right now. He also gave me very very specific instructions to bring my collection back in and "Don't forget the mouthpiece!". Hell, if Gabe wants to spend his time enjoying one of my sax's he is more then welcome.

The serial number on the c melody is 732xx. That should put you close enough.

The baritone is also silver plate with a gold wash in the bell. A couple of dings but not bad. The black rollers were frozen and broken. I am replacing them with mother of pearl from musicmedic.com. I hope to see it next week.

Oh okay, so it is the one you mentioned in your post, hope you don't tease the tech anymore. As I said, I'm working on mine, so I won't have a tech to tease, but plenty of other people. Mind if I ask what your serial number is?

In your picture, what Buescher is that? I think it's a Buescher, looks similar to my c-mel I'm working on...
