Yes - Countoured cases...they look cool, have plenty of storage, and seem to protect my saxes well. My tenor case is splitting at a seam and the sewing around the strap attachment point required a fix, but the alto case seems ok in every way. I think I just got a bad one. I'll probably replace it with another when that day comes. I probably should have looked it over more closely when I bought it. It's still holding up well but I did have to repair it. I suspect I could have gotten warrantee service, but honestly it seemed more of a pain than just spending 20 minutes with some heavy thread and a needle....

    Thanxs for the response.

Is the countoured case the one you use? The Protec, I mean.

I have the idea Protec is a lot better than many might think. I have BAM's but feel better around with Protec's, really. What keeps troubling me is that they price them a lot lower than BAM, I think they are not so far away in quality. No need for that trouble... but your opinion is very important for me.

    All the best,

The reason being SKB is both effective and somewhat economical vs BAM. I'm on a musicians budget. So far, so good though....

In the plane, I carry the protech - If I have to check it, SKB has been my choice for both guitars and saxes....

    Hi there,

Great sound on your clip. Wondering what case you use when in planes or trucks? You seem to like Protechs and me too... Somehow I have BAM's but they seem to keep me away for one reason or another. Protechs are considered by many mid quality cases, maybe it is the price, I do not know.

If on the plane, what do you use?

    All the best,

    Hi Fader,
Thanks a lot if you have that BT7 and are willing to send it over here in the UK?...
Have you found it? Would you accept $30 for it? That would pay for packaging and shipping + something for you. (I can pay via PayPal).
Apparently there's a diy way of splitting the power from Midi and getting the WX11 working without a BT7 but I'd rather have the proper thing.
Let me know if you still have it and willing to post it to me.
    Alex.

    Hi Fader,

I know you're a guitarist as well as saxophonist and I'd like some advice on buying a guitar for my son if you have time.
I'm looking at a mexican made Fender made in 1998. I tried several fenders and this one really sounds great, it somehow sounds just as well as some american made ones.
The store claims it to be total original. It's got a litlle battery compartment at the back for a 9V battery which makes it an active guitar. That is the thing I've never seen on other Fenders, do you know if it came like that straight from the factory possibly ?
Or has it been altered. In any way this sounds a lot better (and plays better also for as far as I can tell) then the average squier starter set guitar.
I'd like to be sure however if it's totally original in case I ever want to sell it again and can't find any info on this on the web. if you know anything about this would you pleasse let me know ? thanks in advance.
