No, I wish I did. I would very much like to meet him. Peter Jessen repairs his horns, so I have a way of intro, but I have not made use of it yet. Just in case, whom may I say hello from? Best, Steen
Do you happen to know my friend..Bob Rockwell? I'm from Minnesota.usa That bronze Berg is very tempting!!! I usual play a 115 RPC, but lately i found an older 120/1 rubber berg thats fitting the bill...wish it were metal though!
Congrats Helen! Now that you are shifting to alto, I will grab your Zephyr tenor. Thanks in advance.
Sure, my $200 dive bar special is a Hohner President alto that needs a rebuild. Here is a link to some pics. I bought it off a player I know in Vancouver who plays in a blues band. He does some deals on the side to supplement his income. I met up with him at one of his shows (which happened to be in a dive bar), and gave him $200 cash, and walked out a few hours later with the ratty old original case. The sax had a fall, and the bell was pushed into the body, and the bell lip is pushed down as well. When my tech is done with it it will look wonderful again. The horn is in very good shape, with very little wear and play. It will take very little work (other than the bell/body issue). My tech is amazing, so I have no worries about it being 100% in the end. I've yet to decide on what pads to put in it. Hohner originally used pads with no resos or rivets. Take care Steen...helen
The very least. All the best!
Thanks a lot for the kind ref. on my FS thread, Steen: unexpected pleasant surprise! I hope all is well in your tenor world!
