I am inquiring about your gray Selmer alto/soprano double case you mentioned in a thread (http://forum.saxontheweb.net/showthr...d-soprano-case). Is that still available for sale and what is the asking price for it? Thanks!
Hi Drake. Can you please delete message #642 in the thread "Tone Production", originally started by Phil Barone? My response do not reflect my opinion, and it doesn't even belong in that thread.
Thank you in advance

Great show tonight (@Western Oregon University) I was the male student who played at the clinic. As soon as Tom introduced you as the Drake professor I immediately thought of SOTW. Anyways, thanks for the tips and the great concert!
A UIowa studio member now owns your 'old' SIII sop !
That is a sweet Jazzophone!
Jim, here's message with no complaints. This is the new Keilwerth Jazzophone I picked up last week. I'm gonna haunt my trumpet friends with it. ;O)
Can you lock this thread down.
I'm truly offended by the actions of some of the members here. I did not ask for any of these accusations. I don't feel the need to offer favors. And if there are any posts after my last post, could you delete them.
It all depends upon your tonal goal, I imagine. My friends Otis Murphy and Kenneth Tse sound absolutely fabulous on their Yamahas, but they've just never done it for me. A friend who plays a Yamaha 875 Custom tenor (jazz) and is very happy with it thought that it sounded like a tin can next to my 1957 Mark VI tenor when he tried it. My very good friend Nathan Nabb just took delivery of a gold-plated SIII that had been set up to Claude Delangle's specifications. It is, evidently, quite a remarkable instrument.
In any event, good luck with your search!
Thank you so much for your email. Maybe I am thinking "the grass is greener." Thank you for your assistance.
I am writing to ask a question regarding the Selmer Serie III. I play an 875EX currently
So, I viewed your site and read that you play the Serie III for classical and other horns for jazz. I felt the Serie III would be fine jazz wise with flexibility being induced from the embouchure. Am I correct that the Serie III could make a good all-purpose alto saxophone? Are there limitations I did not get to experience in my limited playing? Or would a Reference 54 be more jazz/classical flexible?
I trust your opinion on Selmer horns. Thanks!
