Sax on the Web Portal - Dexter Gordon in Finland 1971

  • Dexter Gordon in Finland 1971

As a young guy I was lucky to meet and photograph Dexter Gordon when he was playing a gig in Finland, Vaasa Youth Festival on 19 June 1971. Dexter is still one of my favorite sax players.

More jazzy pictures from the festival in my blog: http://wp.me/p1jVlh-f2.

Interesting video that includes Booker here. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ikLlXX80I2I

    Re: FS: DiMedici alto flute

Yepper. It is a super star. I gotta tell you, Doug, if someone pressed to buy my other alto flute, made by George Opperman, I am confident that I would remain happy for many years to come with the...

This thread caught my eye. I remember when starting with an instructor how difficult it was for me. I would study the score, put breathe marks in, try to make it to my next "air hole" to take a...
