• Dexter Gordon in Finland 1971

    As a young guy I was lucky to meet and photograph Dexter Gordon when he was playing a gig in Finland, Vaasa Youth Festival on 19 June 1971. Dexter is still one of my favorite sax players.

    By doing exactly this -play a bit then rest a bit.

    It's also good to do stuff away from the saxophoe, breathing exercises, aural development, music theory. It's all good.

    This is a very good thing to do, other exercises are different - it's not possible to say what is better in many cases as it's good to do a variety of tone exercise. Otherwise you can build up only...
