Sax on the Web Portal - Dexter Gordon in Finland 1971

  • Dexter Gordon in Finland 1971

As a young guy I was lucky to meet and photograph Dexter Gordon when he was playing a gig in Finland, Vaasa Youth Festival on 19 June 1971. Dexter is still one of my favorite sax players.

More jazzy pictures from the festival in my blog: http://wp.me/p1jVlh-f2.

Great soloing, sound and enviable sense of time. I really enjoyed listening to you play and hope you submit more in the future.
    Great stuff!

Re: Is this Conn-Selmer Avant DAS200 Any Good?

Putting money into a better MP than "Rico plastic" is by far your best bang for the buck. The Vito is probably a Yamaha YAS-23 with a different name etched on it; in other words one of the best...

Re: Any of you guys have notes on your Bari you dislike/would rather not play?

Re: Red dots on an old The Indiana...

By the way, the low C keyguard and neck brace look Buescher or Martin, not Conn, to me.
