Default Flute Forum?

Does anybody frequent any flute forums that are comparable to SOTW?

Thanks in advance....

You might try usedflutes.com BUT you will get dozens of bogus offers for your "advert". I listed one recently and got about 15 scams and no real interest.

Nancy Shinn of www. flutestar.com may be able to help you out.

Bruce, you only got 15 scams? Last time I tried that it was more like a-scam-a-day for a month!

Many people get a disposable email if they want to try usedflutes.com.

I suspect that your low asking price and brand new instrument may attract a sale at usedflutes.

I have a Juno (junko) address for the sales. The flute is a Bettoney Open G# which is pretty rare and I ask them if they are wanting open or closed G# and they reply "either". One day I am going to get one of their bad checks and not send the flutes and see what happens.

Well, I'll ask the question again:

Any help is appreciated.

I visit 8notes.com and the the Galway chat forums. I think the other members got confused and thought you were asking about a place where to sell flutes.

There's also flutenet on yahoogroups and Larry Krantz's Flutelist (email listserv) Those are probably two of the biggest groups..

I'm rather fond of Flutenet.

Do you think they'll stand for it any more than this forum?

Would they be aware of the concept of being martysaxed?

I'll be booted as soon as I mention that flute masterclass I attended. The one where I had to demonstrate diaphragm control. It was one of my first boots here.

Well, you could always mention the flute player - with specifics - in American Pie's Band Camp.

That should take care of you over there once and for all.

As an aside, I sold one flute on usedflutes.com, and yes had the torrent of spam, but the wacky thing was the person that contacted me and ended up buying it actually lived about two miles down the road from me. Crazy the way technology works sometimes...
