Default Finlandia by J. Sibelius

Just like owning property. Nothing goes wrong till you go away.
(This is a follow-up from a Problem Report - editor)

Hey, One of my favorite classical pieces, Finlandia. Hear any good concert band versions? Maybe by a decent european arranger.
Hope to recommend that to our community band play list as soon as we can find a version for concert band that we can do justice to.
I think there is a Trombone quartet version of that.

There is an arrangement of Finlandia for a wind concert band by a Finnish conductor Arvo Kuikka. If you are interested I may be able to find more information.

Sure. I'm the Music selection chairmen that puts the choices together for our Conductor to pull from and he has a limited amount of time to give us. So if I can look at scores or have the committee listen to a recording we can eliminate a lot of research for him.
Of course we are not much more than a grade 4 band due to our mix of talent so we try for better arranged music without being too difficult.
Thanks,
Ron
