Default 1 stop clarinet and sax shop on Yahoo! shopping

They have ZZs in stock, unlike WWBW. The price is reasonable $12.99. I just ordered some for tenor, size 2 1/2. Anyone this store before? the url is

Default I ordered from them

I ordered ZZ's from 1 Stop on Friday, and I recieved them today (PA to NH). Had no problem at all. Too bad they do not carry other reeds like Superials.

Just ordered a box of the Vandoren ZZ's. I would appreciate some comments from current ZZ users about the success they have had with these reeds. Generally, is it possible to play them fresh out of the box or do they require modification? Any comments pro or con would be helpful..

I can second that 1 stop seems like a a good outfit with prompt shipping and great service. I had an order hung up by the Postal Sevice and they replaced it ASAP no questions ask. They will also special order other Vandoren products not on their online catalog for you at comparable prices.

The ZZ tenor reeds which tend to run soft play right out of the box for me. My ZZ alto reeds are 3 1/2s and seem either stuffier or harder than the LaVoz MH I usually play so they require lots of work and breaking in. I've got a box of ZZ alto 3's on order.

I just tried a box of tenor LaVoz MH and they were much too soft.
This is why it makes sense to have a different reed strength comparison table for different horns.
