Default Started developping a tune and cords but what to to now ?

Hi,

I'm really interested in writing a song for my jazzband. The last few month I tried to find some cords that seemed interesting (I didn't have lessons on the piano so I had to discover the whole thing on my own. Cord voicings and so on are not my cup of tee at the moment so most of the time it's root voicing). But I could't find a good melody.

So I tried to find an easy but somehow interesting melody on my sax and then to add harmonies.
I wrote down all the missing parts in Sibelius but it does not sound very good. I have no idea what to do. The B-Part has a bad ending and perhaps isn't quite interesing. I intend to arrange the whole thing (so I'd like to write unisono-parts and so on) but at the moment I don't see any perspective. Should I stop working on this song or should I go on
searching for possebilities ?

I'm not an expert, but I think when you play that on real instruments, it'll be quite good, honestly. Sounds better than any of my humble midi creations for a four headed band.

About the B-part: a computer hasn't got much feeling, so perhaps it's more interesting when it's played with live musicians

I can express myself in German, but I'm not at all saying I'm fluent in it.

But I think it's the intention of the messageboard for chats and talks to be held in English
