    Default Yanagisawa Stencils

    Hi,
I just came across a "YANAGY" alto silverplated sax.
I have never seen this brand before, the seller says it is a Yanagisawa stencil but I do not know..
I know Yani made saxes which were under names like Martin, Astra, Vito, DOrado(or something like that ) and some more, but I have never seen a YANAGY before. It could be a chinese copy like Semlers

Sounds a lot more like a copy than a Stencil. With such a cheesy name it's almost certainly a less-than great copy at that. The better Yanagisawa copies (such as the Walstein brand sold in the UK) don't feel the need to try and make their name sound a bit similar to Yanagisawa.
