Metal or wood?
uploaded clips of me playing new Wanne Parvati 9 for anyone interested in the mouthpiece.
one fast and one slow played on my SBA 42xxx.
both recordings done within 30 min of the thing getting here in the mail.
it's a keeper for sure.
feel free to use anyway you like.

Metal or wood?
" M'enfin ! " ....Gaston Lagaffe
metal, ligature in the second position like it came with it's original preasure plate.
You sound great on that piece, I especially enjoyed the Joshua clip.
Stop bombarding me with your facts and sciences!
Very nice!

it really is amazing. most of my really good sounding mouthpieces are very hard to play on the super action but not this one.
I tried the different ligature preasure plates today and moved the ligature full forward like a good little joe allard student should.
the preasure plate called "vintified" has a more pure brass/bronze core and tone than the original gold plated one so i'm going to use it. must be the gold plating is changing the vibrations on the original just a little.
the solid silver plate changes the tone to silver tone color.
more spread sounding with softer lower lows softer higher highs and no solid core. exactly what you would expect from silver. not my thing but interesting spread sound.
mind blowing how the makup of the ligature preasure plate controls the tone color the reed can produce.
This has to be one of the most well thought out and well executed mouthpiece offerings in saxophone history. creepy religious names and all.
Gary, you have one of the most beautiful, unique approaches to the tenor I've ever heard. Wow man. Keep it up! The mouthpiece really allows you to sing, and that's a good thing, but I'm sure you'd sound great on anything.![]()
My music - recordings past and present.
Highbrid - a killer band that I play with.
Mike Lorenz Quartet - a great musician who I collaborate with often.
