Who are your favorite non-pro sax players on YouTube? Please provide links if you can. If they are your own videos (and you think you are the best,) that's okay too.
Check out one of my friends from college, I don't have any links to his videos, but if you look him up by name you should find him, Carlos espinosa, he's just about finished with his masters from north texas.
Carlos is a great friend of mine! I went to UNT w/him and was friends w/him since the my second semester there. Here is his youtube website if anyone wants to check him out ... KILLER tenor player!
Yeah, he's made a lot of progress on tenor (seems to be hitting more of those low notes) but IMHO he's a much better alto player. That seems to be his natural voice, and IMHO he even sounds like an alto player on the tenor...not such a bad comparison when you consider Getz often got the same rap....
Nice sound and volume on stage. So were you going for a little of that Pharoah Sanders' thing by making those high-pitched, irritating sounds? (Just kidding ); no, otherwise, it sounded great.
