Hey everybody,
I just started playing alto saxophone three weeks ago, and I've been practicing almost 2 hrs a day. I've had one private lesson and I'm lovin it. Yet, this past week, it seems like I'm struggling to keep my embouchure. After practicing for about 20 minutes, my face muscles will get sore and I can't hold my embouchure. I'll play for like 5 measures, and then all of a sudden my chin starts quivering a little and I have to stop playing for a sec, while I loosen my face muscles up again. It didn't start happening until this week, but does anyone know why that might be happening?
Also, after playing a little, I can't play without my horn have an annoying spit rattle sound. Is there any remedy for that or do I just need to swab it during practice?
Thanks!
