    Cool Sibelius lead sheets

Does anyone know where I can download or get hold of jazz lead sheets / real book etc. as Sibelius files? I am also looking for a copy of Horace Silvers Room 608.

In a sense, yes. Maybe other readers can help fill in the blanks.

Floating around out there somewhere in illegal cyperspace is the entire Real Book collection on BiaB files. I stumbled across adds for it years ago but have no idea where. You can transfer the lead sheets as MIDI from BiaB into Sib.

As an alternative, you do realise that you can scan printed lead sheets into Sib, right?

Thanks Gary. Maybe I should just buy a scanner. I have tons of stuff in BIAB but it is not as flexible as Sib for writing out - e.g. 5/4 pieces etc.

PM me if you like Steve, I have the entire collection of Realbooks as PDF. I'd have to send them to you via Instant Messenger, for instance, because they are too large to email.

LOL. I just love the cyperspacethink we get ourselves accustomed to.
You could just put a CDROM in an envelope and give it to your friendly local mailman, wot?

You can also break any of those books into smaller PDF files (as small as one page. Easy on a Mac; just get to the "print" dialog box, select your page range and select "save as PDF". Then you have a separate file.

BTW: the title of Horace's tune in "Room 608" (just in case you're having trouble finding it online)

I have most of RB1 & parts of RB2 in Sibelius 3 format. But not that song.
