    This is a confusing thread because the OP opened it in 2003 so all the B & S comments are obsolete. While the Allora name may still be around (?) they are surely manufactured elsewhere now.
    "Zoot" would a good name for a kid...

    Yes, only a few Allora saxes were made by B&S. The vast majority are and were made in China or Taiwan. The Allora name is owned by the Woodwind & Brasswind company. Allora is stenciled on their horns by whichever factory is building their saxophones that year. I agree this is a confusing thread. Many people who are looking at the Alloras at WWBW come to Sax on the Web for more information and end up here in the B&S area.
