    This thread seems rather dead, so I thought I'd post a little recording I made the other day. I was trying to practice arpeggios and, as often happens I got bored and started noodling (I have musical ADD, what can I say). Anyway, I liked the sound so I hit the record button then added the drums afterward (me on cajon).

    A bit lame, but I like this thread and hate to see it idle (it's a little slow to get going but gets more interesting later on).

    Yeah, every now & then this thread emerges from its wintry slumber. Here's a recent track, free solos within a composed context: the New Buffalo Jazz Octet playing a tune by Michael McNeill called What Are The 39 Steps? Steve Baczkowski plays the killin' bari solo (kind of calls to my mind Eric Dolphy on a very cranky and energetic day) and I follow him on alto...

    Never met Frode personally but have some CDs and heard a lot about him from Jon Rune. Would love to hear him live at some point. I'll be at this years All Ears festival, maybe then. Are you going?
