Right now there is a major, international undertaking to collect Steve's music and transcriptions of his songs. Anybody with their own transcriptions or is welcome and encouraged to submit them. This is a BIG project and who knows how long it will take.
All rights to Steve's estate are being observed , of course.
Email any transcriptions you may want to share to me. Thanks.
Interesting to say the least. I had the original Italian vinyl album and that was recorded with a bunch of amateurs posing as Jazz Musicians back in 1969. of course Steve Lacy was the dominant voice and idea man with that clear sing song line. I was under the impression Moon was all improvised?
I always remember the farewell concert of Steve Lacy (when he left Paris definitely and died soon after) with great emotion.
