Does anyone know where I can purchase a Super 20 bari neck? The one I have has been pulled down and I like to get another rather than getting it fixed.
Apparently they are very good, but unfortunately quite expensive. I was thinking of this route for a S20 tenor, but in the end I found one by repeatedly posting wanted ads. Best of luck !
the chances to find a neck for this horn are very slim indeed. Gloger is a very good source and you can send him the neck that you have if it is not repairable, in this way he can even use the tenon which will considerably speed up the tenon and octave key ( and perhaps the brace too) and possibly cost you less.
Of course you also have the option, at Gloger's, to have a solid silver neck made. You can also ask the neck to have a different angle or length if you would prefer the new neck to have any of these alterations.
Another feasible source for this is another address in the Netherlands, the Blazers Atelier Tilburg. http://www.blazersatelier.nl
The have a penchant for Martin necks but they would be able to do anything else too.
unfortunately, because you have a baritone with an octave key, unless someone has a spare (which in these baritones was often a solid silver one) you cannot adapt one of the many Chinese bari necks onto your baritone or one from another brand.
