Skype Lessons

Hey Sax Teachers,

Any advice on getting online lessons started? I give "in person" lessons and have thought about going into the online realm with giving lessons. What's your thoughts about it? Whats the best hardware/software for to stream this sort of thing?

You need a good audio interface and a decent amount of ram on your computer to avoid the latency and distortion while playing and speaking. I use skype and an Akg condensor mic. Running into a tascam usb interface and it sounds great. Sometimes i'll get a little delay but it works great for online lessons. The regular mic on the computer sometimes distorts the sound.
