Default FS - "The Martin" tenor saxophone 193xxx

I'm putting up for sale my 1954 "The Martin" tenor saxophone with matching neck just back from service. 193xxx.

It has about 60% of the original lacquer remaining. The thumb hook has been upgraded. The pads (minus 1 - on the D key) are a unique black deerskin pad developed by the same guy who made the thumb hook.

There has been a good amount of work done in it's life - dent work and resoldering. Nevertheless, it plays with the same force this model is known for. It's been a lot of fun in the rock and big bands. I'd keep it if I could. More pictures available on request.

    $1200 plus shipping

PM me if interested. I have it on the local craigslist as well.

A solid price for a classic Martin in good-playing condition with new pads. I've certainly seen much more-abused models. This looks fine.

They usually call these the Poor Man's Mark VI but I call the Mark VI the rich man's Martin. None finer for a tenor.

Still available. Here's a video and audio recording that should do a better job of describing it than I can.
