    I have too many to list but I'll name a few:
    Tenor- Michael Brecker, Lenny Pickett, Sax Gordon, Gene Ammons, Dexter Gordon, Keith Crossan, Ben Ellman, Steve Marcus, Joshua Redman, etc. etc.
    Alto- Phil Woods, Dave Sanborn, Maceo Parker, Candy Dulfer, Charlie Parker and on and on they all play better than me

    Sad part is, King Curtis was playing in a small club in my hometown when I was in grade school. I'll always remember seeing his name on the marquee outside but I was much too young to go in and hear him. He is definitely in my top list of players also, especially in the r&b and soul genres .
