I think that finish was called shotblast or something and was a limited run. I never actuallynsaw one in person. It certainly would be unique for Yamaha.

Yeah, there weren't many of the gold/silver shotblast finishes made. I remember at least one for sale around here a while back, but I think it was an alto.....they came with a certificate......

I've got a gold shotblast Z tenor, unique finish for sure, the gold and silver were a limited run of 50 each. You see them pop up every now and then. Price is pretty much the same as a standard finish used Z.
