Default Rollins on Kennedy Center Honors

He won't be playing but they just did Neil Diamond and they had a bunch of performers doing his music.

Yeah you might have missed Sonny. They did his segment before Neil Diamond's.

Lovano, Ravi Coltrane, Jimmy Heath,Benny Golson, Christian McBride, Roy Hargrove, Herbie Hancock .....all played.

    It was nice.

Darn! I missed it! [on PBS? I gotta pay more attention to PBS.]
A lot of good arguments are ruined by some fool who knows what he's talking about.

I was told it was on CBS; But I missed it too. When I was looking on tvguide.com for my station number there was an option to watch videos, but they weren't loaded on there when I last looked. I'm going to try again later when I get a few minutes.

You can see the video of the tribute to Sonny at

I am sure that the live performances must be somewhere out there as well

Bill Cosby's intro was great...the name Sonny Rollins has a meaning in all languages.

I was happiest to see Jim Hall, now 81, and Jimmy Heath, who is 85! Too bad all the cats could not have been given more time!

Sonny is a private guy and disdains the limelight, but he was very gracious about it all.
