    Default Leighton & Bown mouthpieces?

    Anyone tried these?

Despite the name these are surely out of the Sharkbite, Zhenghao, Huastar stable aren't they?

Have to say I'm tempted to try one for that price.

I'm still trying to work out how they fit 24 carrots into it ...

The 24 carrot plating gives it a kind of crunchy tone I guess.

I'm pretty sure these are the put-your-name-here China made kind of mouthpieces. I think you can get the similar mouthpiece with a different engraving for less money. I tried around 10 mouthpieces of this model on alto and they were decent players, however the plating was very thin.

Hey guess what.......They changed it !!!! I wonder if someone behind that eBay shop popped in here and saw the banter about their mouthpieces.

But, joking apart, I'm sure you're right luispa. They've got to be out of the Chinese stable and like you say, you can get a pretty decent player for less money. My £27 DM Sharkbite, for instance, doesn't get put on the tenor that often but when it does it works fine and does what I want at the time. I just wonder how much 'better' these are going to be for nearly twice the money.
