Default Anybody heard of a "Palm" sax

Saw a Bari for sale @ $600....Thought maybe it'd be ok. Any experience with these horns? I just need it to play the ocassional low rhythm piece.

Fader, you need to look out for palm sax. Play it too much and you could go blind.

Palm saxes could come in handy.

Normally we think that Gary meandering is some one messing with the boarders of political districts. Gerymandering SOW's favorite Gary meanders as he pleases.

Ah well....Guess I'll just have to drive a freaking hour and a half to play the dang thing. I'm sure it's a POS but still - A $600 Bari! If it plays even OK - what a deal...

And for all you commedians - Guess I gotta hand it to ya - Ahhhh HA HA HA.... Would have been on it myself except I started the stupid thread

OK...so I bought it anyway. It was mostly unplayable - but beautiful. It looked well constructed but huge leaks. Ended up giving him $500 - took it to sax tech who said its a good, heavy sax - she adjusted it on the spot. I've never played a bari before, but it sounds great to me. The notes ring clear and low and the figering's pretty speedy. It's black nickle with gold keys. Engraved in and outside the bell. Simply beautiful. To top it off, it came with a rolling case and inside is an extra mouthpiece that's a tenor HR T101 Vandoren and a rovner lig.

Anyway....I am pumped. Gonna (Just Gotta!) play that bari at tomorrow's gig. Its billed as the worlds longest concert. Our spot is Thursday from 3-5PM EST....You can catch that streaming live on the web and watch me butcher it . Just search the worlds longest concert. It's 300+ hours of music that's been going on for about a week now. It's a charity event for homeless kids.....

If you can play it with only a few adjustments, that's an excellent deal !

Hmmm.....Perhaps I was a bit ambitious....The sax plays well - I just don't play it well. Maybe I'll just do a couple of songs on it and let it sit there lookin' pretty....
