Default Carmen Leggio Rev D for sale on Ebay

Wow! What a beaut. Maybe some of the price is due to the Carmen Leggio provenance. But not all that much.

Too rich for my blood right now.

That is an awesome-looking horn, and I'm sure it plays well too if Carmen thought it was good enough for him. And actually, I am convinced that that price is mostly based on the fact that he owned it. And if you can get documentation of that fact with the horn, I'd say it's worth it, given that he was probably the most well-known user of SML's.

Actually there is a notarized document from his daughter about the ownership of the horn. I think the horn would go for 4-6k without the Leggio provenance.

I had a chance (welcome to the "I had a chance club") to buy an exact duplicate of this about a year ago for 4k, only it was absolutely mint. With original case, also mint. I just couldn't pull the trigger at the time. And I'm still kicking myself. It ended up going to Europe.
